Free virtual staging: stage a room before you pay
You can stage your first room free on WellStaged, with no account and no card. Saving it to a new account counts it toward 5 free previews in all. Free previews are watermarked, so they are for choosing; you pay $5 or less per photo when you unlock a version you selected.
What free means here
- First room, no account. Upload 1 empty-room photo on the Stage a room free page, pick the room type and a style, and see up to two staged options.
- One free “Try again.” If neither option works, you get 1 more set of previews for that photo at no cost. It does not use one of your free previews.
- Up to 5 free previews with an account. Sign in with your email and preview up to 5 photos in one consistent look across rooms. Your saved first room counts as one of them.
- Pay to unlock downloads. Select the version you prefer, then unlock its photo with one credit. The smallest pack is 1 photo for $5; see all packs.
What the watermark means
Every free preview has a watermark across the image. It stays until you unlock the photo. That makes previews useful for judging furniture, scale and style, and not for publishing.
The version you select is available at full resolution once you unlock its download. Downloads carry a “Virtually staged” label by default and include up to 10 changes. Your original photo stays available. Disclosure rules vary by MLS and state, and you are responsible for following them; see disclosing virtual staging.
Designed to preserve the room
Free previews use the same staging as paid photos. WellStaged is designed to preserve walls, windows, floors and fixtures, and requests to enlarge a room, hide damage or change structure are declined. Compare each result with the original before publishing. WellStaged does not remove existing furniture, so it works best on empty rooms.
